Das Rad Klub 2015 Collection

Bristol born Das Rad Klub have released a bunch of new kit for the 2015 season which includes an updated Jersey, Bib shorts, new “Hell Cap” and some different colorways of their Klub cap. Their kits have been made by Champ Sys, you know you’re buying quality and at £60 for a jersey, £80 for bib shorts and £20 for the Hell cap, you won’t be breaking the bank when buying this kit.

Going forward, Das Rad Klub are only accepting orders on a pre-order basis so to get your hands on this kit, you’ll need to follow DRK and wait until they open up the next round of orders (February 2015). Our opinion is that this kit is certainly Rad and definitely going to be one of those sought after kits when the Pre-order comes round early next year.

Maple Bacon Coffee

Yep, read it again… Maple Bacon Coffee! Those three little words that make your mouth water just thinking about it *. Bewdly Coffee Company, harking from the Maple HQ of the world even state, “As a Canadian company, how could we not offer this?”.

At the time of posting this, BCC are offering a 10% discount code to people who like or follow them on Facebook, Twitteror Instagram which would bring the cost of a 1lb bag of beans down to just over $15 + shipping. The main problem is, they don’t ship to the UK (or Canada?).

Speedvagen National Kit

Pre-orders are being taken till the 1st October 2014 (not long off at the time of this post) for the new Speedvagen National: Japan Kit. Designed in a way to represent Speedvagen’s “distinctly eastern take on Speedvagen approach to bikes and aesthetics”. The jersey has been thought up and designed by SV family member, Masashi ‘Ichico’ Ichifuru and is using the Castelli Team jersey.

Featuring a race cut and full-zip closure, this limited edition run will also feature an SV badge zipper-pull, to complete the design. Full sizing breakdown is available over on The Vanilla Workshop site. Alongside the jersey, you can also buy the Speedvagen arm warmers, bib shorts and wind vests which all compliment the kit design and are also made by Castelli.

As mentioned earlier, at the time of posting this, the pre-order window is pretty close to being shut unfortunately so if you’re wanting one of these kits, you’ll have to hope that you’re not too late and head over to The Vanilla Workshop Shop to grab one.

Das Traumwerk’s “The Crunch”

Just when you think that the “custom” scene has started to recycle itself, something comes along and restores all faith in it. Das Traumwerk have just done this for me with their 1977 BMW R80/7 creation. Named ‘The Crunch‘, they’ve managed to design and build something brilliant. Most custom bikes that you see have that shop finished, shiny paint, shiny parts look… a look that generally lends itself to not riding and more polishing. These guys have done it right for me and taken the polar opposite approach.

Put this bike in a line of other customs and it would turn heads (maybe that’s got something to do with the bright yellow engine).
