The 2013 Norton Domiracer… that phrase alone is enough to get me excited. When I first saw the sneak peek video of this bike I was in awe. It’s an absolute stunner and with specs to match.
I can honestly say that I’m tempted to ruin my bank account and any savings I might have to get my hands on one of the 50 of these limited edition bikes.
£24,000 (plus a couple of grand more to make it road legal) is totally worth it. Not just because it’ll more than likely hold, if not increase massively in value, but because the opportunity to own something with this much heritage behind it, that also looks this good, doesn’t come around often.
The 2013 Norton Domiracer has been built using the new 961cc Norton Commando engine but features a specially designed featherbed style tubular frame and an awesome trellis style swingarm. The little bodywork on this bikes consists of a lightweight carbon fibre seat, air box and front fender, but my personal favourite feature is the handmade aluminium tank which looks incredible and gives it a definite Cafe Racer style. Each one of the 50 tanks is completely one-off and that attention to detail is just insane.
Completely open exhausts and single rev counter setup is just begging to be pulled by the fuzz, but at the end of the day, something of this beauty isn’t for anything other than noisy, fast twisty riding and looking badass whilst you’re doing it.
I’ve been waiting for pictures and more information about the new Norton Domiracer for months now. When I first caught wind of it via an MCN video (below), it made me stop and watch. This thing isn’t only a thing of beauty but it looks like it’ll be insane to ride too. When I heard that Norton were making this bike, and before I watched the video, I was only hoping that they’d done it right and my god they have.
